Both : are crazy smart, have fluffy dark hair, sit weird, solve crimes as games, have archenemy, are willing to put their life in the game, are British (L is part british - this is debatable - and had lived in Britain), aren’t interested in relationships, have only one friend, like tea, have fans crying over their death, …

And mostly : both have tons of gay fanfiction written about them. :P
